Director of Philanthropy
Clare Brooks is Director of Philanthropy at CFN, where she has overseen the growth of UK community foundations since 1999. From 1991-98 she worked extensively across Central and Eastern Europe in both a grant-making and fundraising capacity, working for both the Charles Stewart Mott Foundation of the United States, and with one of the first post-communist Czechoslovak foundations, the Civic Forum Foundation.
Clare also has a background in the auction world, having worked with Christie Manson & Woods in London and Christies International, Geneva.
Clare serves on a number of advisory committees, including the European Association for Planned Giving, the CASS (City of London) Business School Masters Programme in Grantmaking Management, and the community foundation unit of WINGS - the Worldwide Initiative for Grant-maker Support. She holds a BA (Hons) in Italian and Russian.
