Quality Accreditation is a programme run by CFN to endorse and encourage best practice in the network. It is based on a set of standards developed by members for members, and is formally endorsed by the Charity Commission for England and Wales. Achieving Quality Accreditation demonstrates that community foundations are serious about quality and accountability. It specifies what we do and how we do it in a way that other quality systems cannot ensure.
Standards includefive key performance areas plus a corporate assessment.
Community foundations accredited by CFN are entitled to use the special network logo shown here.
The first round of Quality Accreditation ran until the end of 2009 and members are now working through the process of re-accreditation. Halfthe network has been re-accredited and the remainder are working with CFN towards the award.
