CFN's Chief Executive is awarded a CBE for services to philanthropy
Community foundations' contribution to developing philanthropy in the UK was recognised in the New Years Honours when CFN's Chief Executive, Stephen Hammersley, was awarded a CBE for services to philanthropy.
Stephen comments: "Community foundations have more than doubled their philanthropic impact over the last few years."
He continued, "Community foundations cover the country and enable people to invest charitably in their local communities and support organisations that know how to get things done. I am very fortunate to have been able to play a part in this movement and in helping community foundations make the UK a better place to live for many people."
